Hawk came to Best Friends Animal Society from a place called FLOCK (For the Love of Cats and Kittens) in Pahrump, Nevada. Unfortunately, FLOCK didn’t keep their promise to any of the animals that lived there and ended up in an institutional hoarding situation. Hawk was one of the 700 plus cats that were pulled out of Pahrump in 2007 and brought to Best Friends in an effort known as The Great Kitty Rescue. We brought Hawk to his forever home on March 12, 2010.

He would do this to me if I caught him sleeping inside. He would "casually" stretch and look at me like "I am not afraid of you, but I am leaving" and then if I took a step closer he would run! I would laugh! I miss that guy! Such a character.
@Noon yeah he is the master at nonchalantly "running away". My favorite part is how annoyed he looks sometimes like he's thinking "for the love of God, stay upstairs! I just want to lay here in the sun!"
:) thanks for commenting! We really appreciate it.
